Registration FAQs

1. I am trying to upload the final version of my paper. But EDAS website shows a message that I should submit copyright form first. The problem is EDAS does not show any option of downloading copyright form.

  • If your’s is a poster paper, you won’t see the copyright option now. In principle you were suppose to select option “Not Required”. To keep it simple for you, we have done this selection for you. See instructions below.
  • If your’s is an oral paper (with IEEE Xplore publication), you need to upload copyright form (see attached file: file the details, print, sign, scan and upload pdf). The same you need to email to CONECCT email ID with your final paper’s word file. See instructions below.

2. I do not understand the difference between Accepted Paper Number and Accepted Paper ID from EDAS. I have only known my paper number from my acceptance mail. Do they represents same number?

Yes, the accepted paper number and paper ID generated from EDAS are the same.

3. I am a student but the registration form does not move forward without filling sections for non student (Designation & Affiliation If Non-Student Is Selected In Category). What should I do?

Please fill NA wherever not applicable in the mandatory fields.

4. Through website, we came to know the registration fee for Indian Delegates Rs.7000/-. Whether the registration fee is same for Presenting Author or any change in registration fee?

All authors or delegates pay the same registration fee. The difference in fee is based only on the basis of whether you are IEEE member or non-member / student or delegate.

5. Whether Ph.D scholar will come under Delegates or students category?

If the PhD scholar is on a student status (not employed as a lecturer or a professional), then they can register as a student. However, if they are working and doing PhD simultaneously, then they will have to register as a full delegate.

6. What is the registration fee structure, if more than one author wants to register for same paper?

For more number of attendees, please select the quantity of tickets required from the drop down option of the appropriate ticket type (Indian/International/Delegate/Student), and mention the attendee details on the next page. Every author has to register to attend the conference. To keep it simple, every participant is encouraged to register individually. There is no discount given on multiple registrations.

7. Is there any last date for author registration?

The last date for registration for AUTHORS (at least one author) was 10th Feb. We have now extended this by 4 more days. For other delegates, it is open until the conference date.

8. I would like to know the venue of the conference. While completing the registration process, the ticket generated showed venue as MSR hotel instead of Hyatt, thus creeping slight confusion.

The venue of the conference is ‘MSR Hotel and Spa, Bangalore’. Please check the Hotel Details for more information. Legally it is getting acquired by Hyatt, therefore at few places you may see venue as Hyatt, which indeed is the same. If you click on the Hotel information (CONECCT website), you will be redirected to the venue hotel.

9. For registering for the conference, the fee will be borne by my institute. In such case I need to attach the registration fee details mentioned in the brochure. Since there is no mention of registration fee in the brochure, kindly send the details of registration fee for official approvals at my institute.

After the payment is successful, the website will generated the ticket, which will contain the details of the registration category and registration fee paid by the attendee. This can be used for subsequent official approval. BTW, all the details are available on the website.

10. Please mention the details of accommodation during my stay at the conference.

The attendees have to arrange for their self-accommodation in the hotel mentioned or elsewhere. The conference will not provide accommodation.

11. Usually our institute prefers to pay through NEFT. Hence kindly mention other modes of payments such as NEFT/ DD/ Cheque. Also mention the details of online/ on-site registration details for registering for conference by preferable payment mode by our institute.

For online transactions, the attendees can pay the registration fee using Credit Card/ Debit Card/ Net Banking. The NEFT payment mode is not available. Onsite registration is not applicable for presenters / authors, as they need to register before Feb 14th. (Earlier this deadline was Feb 10th).

12. What is the last date for registration since the portal shows the registration dead line as March 17th till 17:00 hrs but the the brochure shows that it is Feb 10th, 2018. It is very less time for official procedures at our place. Kindly help me in registering for the conference.

13. In the online registration portal, all the fields are mandatory in author details. What should I do if few fields are not applicable to me?

14. Does the EDAS paper ID mean EDAS ID of the author or the number shown before conference paper ID on the EDAS portal?

The conference paper ID generated by EDAS is the paper ID to be filled in the registration form.

16. What makes the difference between online registration and on-site registration? Are the authors allowed to make on-site registration?

Onsite registration is not applicable for presenters / authors, as they need to register before Feb 14th. (Earlier this deadline was Feb 10th). For online transactions, the attendees can pay the registration fee using Credit Card/ Debit Card/ Net Banking. Others can register onsite.

15. Do we have to make arrangements for the accommodation or the conference management provides the accommodation for the attendees?

The attendees have to arrange for their self-accommodation in the hotel mentioned or elsewhere.

17. Is there a discount in registration fee given to authors/presenters? If I approach you, can I bargain for the registration fee?

No.

18. My paper has been selected for Oral Presentation. Can two authors present the same paper?

Yes, both authors should have unique registration. The overall presentation time would remain the same, so there should be proper division of time between the presenters.
